The University of Dallas is a small, private Catholic college located between Las Colinas and Irving, nestled in the shadow of the old Texas Stadium. Hailed as one of education's best-kept secrets, UD is home to several undergraduate and graduate programs and various international study-abroad programs. The University of Dallas seeks to educate students of seriousness, intelligence, and spirit in accordance with the fundamental aims of a liberal arts education in the development of intellectual and moral virtue.

Currently, UD is host to 2,972 students, of which approximately 1,233 are undergraduates. Factor in a faculty of 215 local residents and the University of Dallas is not only education's best-kept secret, but Irving's as well! The University News is the fundamental outlet for local businesses to reach the UD population.
